Miscarriage

Miscarriage is the term given to a pregnancy loss that usually occurs within the first 12 weeks of a pregnancy. Most miscarriages occur because the developing embryo (early stages in the life of a baby) has serious and severe developmental abnormalities that are incompatible with life. Many miscarried embryos have chromosomal abnormalities but even those with apparently normal chromosomes are unlikely to be normal. The abnormalities occur because of abnormalities in the egg and/or sperm that became fertilized. Very occasionally, normal pregnancies miscarry but this is very unusual. It is usually not a good idea to use drugs to try to maintain a pregnancy that would otherwise miscarry.

Is there a lifestyle cause?

Yes. the Abnormal eggs or sperm can result from ageing but frequently occur in younger men and women where their body is suffering from a serious biological and/or hormonal imbalance or exposure to toxins. In younger people, most problems can be overcome by correcting diet and other negative lifestyle habits. In older people the abnormality rate can often be reduced by optimising diet and lifestyle.
